About This Experience

PAK LAND's private 13-hour day from your Tokyo hotel to Tsubame-Sanjo: hammer a copper cup at Gyokusendo and heat and sharpen a small blade at Sanjo Kajidojo. You take both home.

The sections below quote the operator's own listing. Where it says "we" or "us", that is the operator, so send questions such as dietary needs to them through your booking.

Good to Know

  • Departs 06:00, a thirteen-hour day. Both workshops involve standing at a bench with hand tools and some heat from the forge, so wear closed shoes and clothes you do not mind getting a little marked. Factories and workshops are closed on Sundays, so this trip does not run that day. Runs year-round otherwise. If something included cannot run on your date because of weather, closure or availability, you get a full refund of your booking, guaranteed; we only offer an alternative if you prefer it
